Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Repair and service mechanical systems including engines (diesel and gasoline), transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain components.
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections to ensure optimal operation.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy equipment mechanics techniques to execute repairs efficiently.
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex automotive electrical systems and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).
- Maintain detailed repair records, complete auto estimating procedures, and communicate effectively with customers about repairs needed.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and dealership or industry regulations related to automotive repair.
Requirements
- Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with dealership experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including powertrain, transmission repair, suspension systems, brakes, and diesel engine repair.
- Proficiency in automotive diagnostics tools and schematics reading for accurate troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with ADAS calibration, air brake systems, wheel alignment, shocks & struts replacement.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment and heavy machinery safely and effectively.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients.
- Relevant certifications such as ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Knowledge of GM vehicles or auto body repair experience is a plus but not required.
