THE POSITION:
We are seeking a reliable X-Ray Technologist with the ability to multi-task in an Orthopaedic Center.
- The daily tasks of an X-ray Technologist require precise work and attention to detail as well as adherence to strict safety procedures.
- The X-ray Technologist operates x-ray equipment and prepares imaging room with equipment and supplies. This position requires both desk and x-ray unit work including storage of images.
- They have frequent contact with employees, providers, patients, and their families. As an x-ray Technologist you’ll work as part of the team to assist physicians by providing patient care services in an efficient, customer service oriented manner in the orthopedic practice.
- The person in this position demonstrates the knowledge and skills to work in a fast paced clinic with occasional high pressure or emergent situations.
THE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Knowledge of radiologic standards, requirements and regulations
- Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable to the position
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and radiology
- Use and apply medical terminology appropriately
- Ability to lift and position patients for the type of x-ray procedure required
- Ability to keep and maintain records
- Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Ability to relate sensitively to patients needs
- Proficient ability to use a computer and electronic medical record
- Attention to accuracy and detail
- Ability to adapt easily to changing conditions and work responsibilities
- Ability to maintain positive attitude
- Skilled at multi-tasking, resourceful and well organized
THE REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma
- Completion of course in Radiologic Technology approved by ARRT
- Current certification with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
- Current certification in CPR
