Join The Borough's team as a Kitchen Team Member! You will play a key role in food preparation and kitchen operations, contributing to a vibrant dining experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute food preparation activities with precision and attention to detail, ensuring the consistent quality of all menu items
- Follow standardized recipes and production procedures to maintain the integrity of our culinary offerings
- Safely handle and store food ingredients while adhering to hygiene and sanitation guidelines to uphold food safety standards
- Prepare and cook food while operating kitchen equipment effectively
- Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with the team to ensure smooth operations
- Engage in opening, closing, and dish duties as required
Compensation:
Starting wage: $12.50 per hour plus split tip pool. Split tips consistently average to $4-6 per hour on week days and $6-10 per hour on weekends
Tip Arrangement: Tips are distributed evenly among all team members based on hours worked and average tips per hour
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is desirable
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment and multitask effectively
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Weekend availability is required
Working Environment:
The job involves standing for extended periods, working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, and handling kitchen equipment and tools. Exposure to various food items and cleaning chemicals is part of the role. Being able to stoop, stand, and bend for the entirety of a shift is required.
