Position Overview
The Field Technician plays a hands-on, critical role in the installation, repair, and maintenance of custom swimming pools. The ideal candidate brings well-rounded pool industry experience, works independently in the field, and takes pride in delivering quality results on every job.
Key Responsibilities
- Equipment Plumbing – Install and connect pool equipment including pumps, filters, heaters, and automation systems following manufacturer specifications and local code requirements.
- Perimeter Plumbing – Run and connect all perimeter plumbing lines, ensuring proper flow, pressure, and watertight integrity throughout the system.
- Sheet Receipts / Startup Documentation – Complete and maintain accurate job sheet receipts, startup checklists, and field documentation for all assigned work orders.
- Troubleshooting – Diagnose and resolve mechanical, plumbing, and equipment issues efficiently; identify root causes and recommend effective repair solutions.
- Autofill Installation – Install and calibrate automatic water levelers/autofill systems to manufacturer and customer specifications.
- Skimmer Replacement – Remove and replace skimmers, ensuring proper sealing, alignment, and connection to the plumbing system.
- Bond Wire – Install and inspect bonding wire in compliance with NEC and local electrical codes to ensure pool safety.
- Paver Resetting (Preferred) – Ability to reset and re-level pool deck pavers following equipment or plumbing access work.
- General Pool Knowledge – Apply broad, hands-on knowledge across all phases of pool construction and service to support the team and meet project deadlines.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in pool construction, installation, or service
- Strong knowledge of pool plumbing systems, equipment, and industry best practices
- Familiarity with Florida building codes and pool safety regulations
- Ability to read and interpret pool plans and equipment manuals
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently in the field
- CPO (Certified Pool Operator) certification is a plus
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
- Comfortable working in confined spaces and around water

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
