Job Summary/General Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Group Leaders to engage with youth in a dynamic environment focused on childhood development and education. Credentials and Education/Experience
- High school diploma required
- One – Two years’ experience working with youth or equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Good planning and organizational skills Ability to multitask
- Working knowledge of computer software programs including MS Office
- Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives
- Ability to handle and resolve recurring problems
- Familiarity with childhood development principles is essential.
- Experience in camp settings or leading group activities is preferred.
- Certification in First Aid or CPR is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with children, parents, and team members.
- A background in sports, performing arts, STEM or related fields can enhance the ability to engage participants in a variety of activities.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise group activities, ensuring that they are engaging, educational, and aligned with the goals of childhood development.
- Implement classroom management strategies to maintain a positive learning environment.
- Provide support and guidance to students ranging from grades K-8 fostering with homework, team building, structured play and tutoring.
- Develop age-appropriate lesson plans that incorporate educational content while encouraging creativity and exploration.
- Monitor students’ progress and provide feedback to parents or guardians as needed.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants by adhering to first aid protocols and emergency procedures.
- Facilitate sports coaching or physical activities that promote teamwork and physical fitness.
- Serve as a role model for students by demonstrating positive behaviors, values, and social emotional awareness.
- Performs all other duties assigned
Special Requirements: Willing to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as requested by Project Director.
