Join our dynamic team as a Diesel Technician/Mechanic specializing in trucks and trailers! In this energetic role, you'll be at the forefront of maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting heavy-duty diesel equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will keep our fleet running smoothly, supporting logistics and transportation operations with precision and reliability. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, hydraulics, and electrical systems of trucks and trailers.
- Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, tire service, alignment, and air brake inspections to prevent breakdowns.
- Utilize schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues efficiently.
- Fabricate parts or modify equipment using hand tools, power tools, welding, and soldering techniques to meet specific repair needs.
- Maintain detailed service records, complete work orders accurately, and communicate effectively with team members to ensure timely repairs.
Requirements
- Experience working as a Diesel Technician or Heavy Equipment Mechanic experience preferred, but willing to train the right person.
- Strong mechanical knowledge
- Skilled in using schematics for diagnostics and repairs; comfortable reading technical manuals.
- Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques such as welding and soldering; familiar with assembly processes.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and maintenance software.
- Excellent problem-solving skills; able to communicate technical information clearly.
- Physical ability for heavy lifting and working in various environmental conditions; commitment to safety standards.
- We supply specialty tools, but you are required to provide your own tools and box.
