Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on vehicles using advanced automotive electrical systems, schematics, and diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on diverse vehicle systems including powertrains, transmissions, diesel engines, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive repair tools to execute repairs efficiently.
- Service vehicles at customer locations by replacing parts, adjusting alignments, performing wheel balancing, and ensuring optimal vehicle performance.
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot electrical systems, mechanical components, and complex automotive systems.
- Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer specifications and safety standards while providing excellent customer service through clear communication.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, parts used, and diagnostics results for each vehicle serviced.
Skills
- Proven dealership experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair.
- Knowledge of ADAS calibration, wheel alignment procedures, and vehicle electrical systems.
- Skilled in reading schematics and interpreting technical manuals for accurate troubleshooting.
- Mechanical knowledge spanning powertrains, transmissions, diesel engines, and general automotive service.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and auto estimating software.
- Experience working with GM vehicles or similar brands is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients.
