Job Overview
We are looking for a dedicated turf applicator technician to maintain and enhance the common grounds for our customers. This role involves hands-on groundskeeping, turf equipment operation, and landscape maintenance to ensure pristine turf conditions. This position carries the overall responsibility for maintaining turf herbicide, pesticide, and fertilization; strict adherence to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations for turf applications.
What you will need:
- Registered Technician certificate required for turf.
- Have complete knowledge of chemical application turf equipment.
- Experience working with turf chemicals, turf pesticides, and turf fertilizers.
- Understanding of governmental regulations, Material Safety Data Sheets, and manufacturers for turf.
- Knowledge of instructions for granular and spray chemicals within the landscape industry.
- Become a certified chemical applicator within 90 days of the minimum time required to be a turf technician.
- Commercial Applicator license a plus.
Responsibilities
- Treat specific insect, weed, turf disease, and nutritional deficiencies by application of appropriate product.
- Maintain power spray equipment assigned in a safe, clean, and mechanically sound condition at all times. See that all field equipment complies with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of chemical usage according to all applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations.
- Provide and maintain safe physical conditions, per OSHA standards.
- Responsibility for ensuring chemical job site quality and that site appearance meets client and company standards.
- Effectively monitor turf grass health and identify insect or disease problems.
- Treat specific insect, weed, turf disease, and nutritional deficiencies by application of appropriate product.
- In addition, will perform hands-on work with crews, as needed, to meet work and scheduling demands.
