Responsibilities
- Vigilantly observe all pool areas to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Enforce rules related to swimming behavior, pool capacity, and guest conduct to maintain a safe environment.
- Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies such as swimmer distress, injuries, or cardiac arrest incidents using CPR, AED operation, and first aid protocols.
- Conduct routine pool maintenance tasks including cleaning filters, skimming debris, and ensuring water quality standards are met.
- Assist guests with pool access, provide information about park amenities, and deliver exceptional guest services to enhance their experience.
- Perform regular inspections of pool equipment and surrounding areas to identify hazards or maintenance needs.
- Complete incident reports accurately and communicate effectively with team members and emergency responders when necessary.
Experience
- Previous lifeguard experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for qualified candidates.
- Certification in lifeguarding, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED (Automated External Defibrillator) operation, and basic life support is essential.
- Knowledge of pool maintenance procedures including cleaning protocols and water quality testing is advantageous.
- Ability to swim confidently and perform rescue techniques in various water conditions.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks such as moving pool equipment or assisting guests in distress.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with guests and team members while maintaining a lively and positive attitude.
