This position may be used to support the HRSS or the HRP teams directly.
POSITION PURPOSE:
This role delivers service-oriented resolutions for HR questions, transactions, and self-service solutions from TVA employees and retirees. As an essential resource this role serves as a subject matter expert on the coordination and processing of employment and personnel actions for TVA employees and contractors. A key aspect of this position is the responsibility for the data integrity in HR systems as well as maintaining accurate records for audit purposes. Must be knowledgeable of current employment laws and regulations, OPM guidelines, collective bargaining agreements, and existing TVA SPP’s to ensure compliance.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Ensures data integrity, accuracy, consistency, and confidentiality in handling of transactions and cases.
- Handles TVA employee and retiree inquiries from a variety of intake channels through effective case management, timely processing and resolution. Communicates effectively through phone and chat to ensure the customer’s need is understood and properly resolved.
- Educates employees, contractors, and retirees on HR policies, processes, and tools.
- Processes transactions, verifications of employment, and employee records timely and accurately into HR systems, in compliance with procedures and processes.
- Cultivates effective partnerships with HR Technology, Recruiters, HR Partners, Financial Consultants, Payroll, Personnel Security and Nuclear Access, TVA employees and other internal or external organizations as appropriate.
- Uses procedures, policies, content library and other reference materials to ensure compliance and accuracy. Analyzes data for quality and compliance with applicable TVA’s processes, procedures, contractual agreements, employment laws, regulations, and OPM guidelines.
- Supports culture of performance and teamwork throughout TVA and fosters a culture of accountability, trust, collaboration, development, and results consistent with the expectations of HR and the Business.
- Develops new and improved processes for handling work flow to enhance team effectiveness by creating procedure documents for internal control (work flow documents/internal procedure documentation).
- Assist or lead in special projects or assignments as needed. Provides recommendations to simplify and enhance processes, procedures, and technologies.
- Maintains and ensures integrity of HR data by reviewing, analyzing, and processing needed data updates based on HR system reports.
- May be asked to update and maintain ServiceNow content library, banners, services, and microsites in support of the customer experience.
- If requested, completion of training programs may be required.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education – Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent training, education, and experience.
Experience – Associates degree with at least 1 year customer service or at least 3 years of related work experience is required.
Certification/License, etc. – PHR/SPHR Recommended
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities —
- Strong proficiency in data entry, keyboarding skills and in technology applications such as Microsoft Office, PeopleSoft, and ServiceNow.
- Knowledge of TVA programs and policies, strategies, organization structure and applicable labor agreements as they relate to the processing of HR-related transactions
- Detail oriented, organized and able to work well under pressure while processing a variety of personnel actions.
- Exhibits customer-focused skills and communicates effectively both verbally and in writing
- Ability to interface and communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of the organization, maintain confidentiality and respond effectively to requests
- Strong reading comprehension, active listening, and written and oral communication skills
- Ability to manage detailed work within deadlines and time constraints
