Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs
- Provide detailed information about merchandise, including features, benefits, and pricing
- Process transactions accurately using retail software and cash handling procedures
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions, sales, and store policies to maximize sales opportunities
- Handle cash management tasks such as cashiering, balancing registers, and managing cash drawers
- Support inventory management by restocking shelves and conducting stock counts using retail math skills
- Deliver excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring customer satisfaction
Qualifications
- Prior experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a positive attitude are essential
- Basic math skills including retail math and cash handling experience to ensure accurate transactions
- Familiarity with financial software or point-of-sale (POS) systems is a plus
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with diverse customers
- Capable of standing for extended periods and performing physical tasks such as stocking shelves or managing cash registers
