Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Home Healthcare Marketing and Business Development Specialist to help grow a Maryland home healthcare agency.
This position is for someone who already understands healthcare marketing, referral development, and face-to-face outreach. The person must be comfortable visiting physician offices, medical practices, hospitals, rehab centers, senior communities, and other referral sources.
This is not a social media-only or flyer-only position. We need someone who can go into the field, speak professionally, build relationships, follow up, and help bring real referral opportunities to the agency.
Responsibilities
Visit physician offices, medical practices, hospitals, rehab centers, senior communities, and community organizations
Build and maintain relationships with physicians, practice managers, case managers, discharge planners, social workers, support planners, and other healthcare professionals
Introduce the agency’s services clearly and professionally
Identify new referral sources and business development opportunities
Conduct face-to-face outreach and follow-up with referral partners
Attend networking events, health fairs, community events, and provider meetings when needed
Help promote the agency’s home healthcare services in the community
Assist with marketing materials, outreach packets, flyers, and basic campaign ideas
Track contacts, visits, follow-ups, leads, and referral activity
Provide updates on outreach efforts, responses, referrals, and next steps
Work with agency leadership on marketing, visibility, and growth strategies
Represent the agency professionally in the field and in the office
Requirements
3–5 years of experience in home healthcare, healthcare marketing, business development, sales, community outreach, or referral development preferred
Must have experience with physician engagement, provider outreach, and face-to-face marketing
Must be comfortable walking into offices, introducing services, and speaking with healthcare professionals
Must understand referral development and the importance of consistent follow-up
Must have strong communication and relationship-building skills
Must be organized and able to track outreach activity
Must be dependable, professional, and self-motivated
Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel within assigned Maryland service areas
Basic computer skills required, including email, Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, and simple tracking sheets
Preferred Experience
Existing healthcare referral relationships in Maryland
Experience with home health, homecare, hospice, skilled nursing, senior care, disability services, Medicaid, private pay, or community-based care
Experience working with physicians, case managers, discharge planners, social workers, support planners, or healthcare administrators
Experience helping grow private-pay referrals or community partnerships
Experience with Canva, Google Business Profile, social media, CRM systems, or referral tracking tools is a plus
Schedule and Pay
This is an on-call/as-needed position. Hours may vary based on outreach needs, events, provider visits, and agency growth activities.
Pay is $25–$35 per hour, based on experience, qualifications, healthcare marketing background, physician engagement experience, and ability to support business development.
This position does not include benefits.
