Duties
- Skillfully cut, trim, and prepare various types of meats using professional knife skills and meat cutting techniques
- Package meat products efficiently while maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards
- Assist customers with their meat selections, answer questions about cuts and preparation methods, and provide excellent customer service
- Ensure all food handling procedures comply with safety regulations to prevent contamination and spoilage
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, tools, and storage areas in accordance with health codes
- Rotate stock properly to ensure freshness and proper inventory management
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals while upholding quality standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in food production, food preparation, or kitchen environments, preferably within the food industry or restaurant settings
- Strong knife skills and expertise in meat cutting techniques
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Prior experience with packaging and food presentation is a plus
- Culinary or kitchen experience that demonstrates familiarity with meat processing is highly desirable
