Under the direction and supervision of the Youth Development Team and Senior Director of Program Operation, and in accordance with established policies and procedures of the YMCA of Central Kentucky, the Youth Operations Coordinator is responsible for the organization and implementation of high-quality YMCA programs (Afterschool and Camps). The Youth Operations Coordinator will provide administrative assistance by assisting with the planning, scheduling, record keeping and communication for the Youth Development programs. The coordinator will deliver a high-level of customer service to all program participants and their families.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Responsible for proper record keeping to assure compliance with state and local regulations as they relate to program sites/areas. Ensures that YMCA program standards are met and safety procedures followed.
2. Assists the Youth Development Department in recruiting, hiring, training, developing and scheduling staff and directs personnel and volunteers as needed. Develops strategies to motivate staff and achieve goals.
3. Assist the Youth Development Department with exceptional communication to all program participants through Playerspace, Emails and Phone Calls.
4. Deliver exceptional customer service by remaining positive, listening, and communicating with respect to members, parents and staff; uphold YMCA policies and procedures.
5. Assists the Youth Development Department in outreach and relationship building with community partners to promote program growth
6. Provide administrative and supervisory support to all Youth Development Department programs and off sites, as needed.
7. Create documents, reports, spreadsheets, rosters and schedules (practice, game, staff, coach and referee) assigned by the Youth Development Department.
8. Process, review, track and analyze program enrollment data through Daxko and Playerspace software to produce reports in support of the operations and management.
9. Assist with inventory and purchasing of supplies for the Youth Development Department
10. Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:

- High school diploma or GED. Bachelor's degree in human services, recreation, business or a related field, or equivalent (preferred)
- At least 1 year of youth activity experience in a sport, camp or recreation setting
- At least 1 year of experience as an Administrative Assistant
- Strong ability in using MS Office
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability demonstrate strong initiative, creativity, flexibility, and be able to operate and promote an environment that supports the YMCA’s mission and its four core values.
