Position Summary:
The GI/Endoscopy Technician is responsible for supporting physicians and the clinical team during gastrointestinal and endoscopic procedures by preparing procedure rooms, maintaining sterile equipment, and ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of patient care. The technician assists with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including upper endoscopy (EGD), colonoscopy, bronchoscopy (as applicable), and other specialized endoscopic procedures.
Job Duties:
- Prepare procedure rooms with the necessary equipment, instruments, and supplies for GI and endoscopic procedures.
- Assist physicians and nurses during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including colonoscopies, upper endoscopies (EGD), flexible sigmoidoscopies, ERCP, and bronchoscopies (as applicable).
- Prepare, position, and transport patients before, during, and after procedures while ensuring comfort and safety.
Requirements:
- Experience: 2 years
- Certifications:BLS, SGNA
