Baker Bristol Pet Hospital has been caring for pets and their families in Costa Mesa for over 60 years. We are a well-established, multi-doctor veterinary hospital with loyal clients, an experienced team, and a strong commitment to high-quality patient care.
We are looking for a friendly, dependable, and motivated Client Service Representative (CSR) to join our team.
This is a great opportunity for someone who already has veterinary experience as well as someone who is looking to begin a career in veterinary medicine. While previous Veterinary experience is a big plus, it is not necessarily required. We are willing to train the right person who is a quick learner and has a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, good communication skills, and a genuine interest in working with people and animals.
What You'll Do
- Welcome clients and their pets with warmth, professionalism, and a positive attitude
- Answer multi-line phones and assist clients in person, by phone, email, and through PetDesk communications
- Schedule appointments and help manage the hospital's daily appointment workflow
- Check patients in and out efficiently and accurately
- Assist the medical team in exam rooms, including obtaining basic TPRs when appropriate
- Review treatment plans and present financial estimates clearly and professionally
- Review medications and discharge instructions with clients
- Fill, label, and prepare prescriptions accurately and timely
- Maintain accurate medical records and document client communications
- Scan, upload, and organize medical and administrative documents
- Process payments and assist with account questions
- Communicate effectively with veterinarians, technicians, and other CSRs
- Stay organized and focused while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
What We're Looking For

- Comfortable working with dogs, cats, rabbits and other exotic pets
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Dependable, punctual, and accountable
- Detail-oriented and highly organized
- Able to multitask while maintaining accuracy
- Comfortable learning new computer systems and procedures
- Able to remain calm and professional in a busy and sometimes stressful environment
- Works well with others and understands the importance of teamwork
- Veterinary experience is preferred, but not required
- Medical, healthcare, customer service, or animal-related experience is also a plus
- We are willing to train the right candidate who is eager to learn
