Duties
- Erect metal buildings and frameworks according to detailed blueprints and schematics
- Perform concrete forming, finishing, and rebar installation to ensure structural integrity
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans accurately
- Operate power tools, heavy equipment, and hand tools safely and efficiently on-site
- Execute masonry work including bricklaying, plastering, stucco application, and siding installation
- Conduct roofing, framing carpentry, trim carpentry, and woodwork tasks with precision
- Measure dimensions using tape measures and other tools for accurate cuts and placements
- Assist with demolition, restoration projects, remodeling efforts, and site cleanup as needed
- Collaborate with team members to manage construction schedules and adhere to safety protocols
- Interpret technical drawings for metal stud framing, drywall installation, and other specialized tasks
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction roles with a focus on metal building erection, concrete forming, masonry, or related fields
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings or schematics
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and measuring devices
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper technique
- Familiarity with construction plans for framing, siding, roofing, plastering, and restoration projects
- Basic math skills including dimensional measurements for precise work execution
- Experience with rebar installation, concrete finishing techniques, and drywall or trim carpentry preferred
- Valid construction site experience with a solid understanding of safety standards and protocols
- Excellent teamwork skills combined with the ability to work independently when required
