Spa Services Specialist - Esthetician
MAIN FUNCTION:
The Spa Services Specialist (SSS) is a key member of the Fitness Services Department Team. The SSS is ultimately responsible for delivering an extremely high level of both applied services (i.e. facial, body treatment, manicure, pedicure, etc.) and overall experience to all visitors, guests, and members on a consistent basis. This is achieved by utilizing excellent technical skills alongside exceptional interpersonal skills and being well-versed in the Center’s Service Standards. The goal of these efforts is to earn excellent member satisfaction levels and, more importantly, create life-long promotors of the Center and its services.

REPORTS TO: Wellness Spa Coordinator

POSITION EXPECTATIONS:

Demonstrates commitment to delivering the highest quality of service to those who seek professional services.
Provide consistent professional services and treatments in accordance with Center protocols and State licensures.
Displays the ability to appropriately adjust service techniques related to client feedback and requests.
Understands the menu of services offered and can display competency in all services delivered within the service description.
Acknowledges the confidential nature of the professional relationship with clients and respects each client's right to privacy and decency.
Refrains in any degrading or unprofessional conduct and maintains age-specific appropriateness with clients.
Responsible for executing the customer Service Standards for all aspects of the operations.
Responsible for the reception of each member and the world-class member experience that follows. This includes the reception of members and guests, check-in process, schedule management, general facility knowledge, etc.
Demonstrate the ability to form relationships and communicate with members in a way that shows compassion and the willingness to assist the members in any way possible.
Ability to recommend and sell products to clients based on their specific needs
Administrative
Demonstrates competency in managing client charts and documentation as per the State Board guidelines, as well as maintaining the associated confidentiality and privacy regulations.
Demonstrates competency in administering duties related to computer tasks, specifically the Club Management software system, including client scheduling, and general data entry.
Exhibit the ability to execute logistical workflows needed to achieve an effective and efficient operation related to delivering services.
Committed to providing the best services possible by maintaining current licenses and certifications, as well as attending continuing education seminars, and reviewing industry literature.
Committed to providing a clean and sanitary facility for all guests.
Routinely complete the department’s daily task check sheet as assigned.
Management (Customer Relations/Team Performance)
Contribute to achieving a consistently excellent member experience resulting in high member satisfaction ratings and low member attrition.
Address all member concerns and provide prompt and member-friendly follow-ups.
Proficient and compliant with all current facility policies and procedures.
General
Consistently meets and/or exceeds the Center’s performance objectives and Key Performance Indicators as outlined in the Annual Strategic Plan.
Demonstrates the desire to continually improve areas of the business by identifying an area for improvement, devising a solution, and then implementing a plan.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Licensed practitioner by the State Board as appropriate.
2 Years of Esthetician Work Experience
Excellent technical skills related to delivering an exceptional service.
No written disciplinary action within the last 12 months
Pass Background Check
Eligible to work in the United States
CPR Certification
Must be available to work weekend hours
PREFERRED SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:
Excellent interpersonal skills needed for exemplary customer service; outgoing, friendly, and compassionate.
Hold a specialty certification from a reputable organization in areas such as, but not limited to: Microdermabrasion, Dermaplaning, Laser & Light Therapy, and Body Scrubs.
