MALE COUNSELOR NEEDED FOR OVERNIGHT THEATER CAMP IN KENOSHA, WI (JUNE 15-AUGUST 4)

Harand Camp of the Theatre Arts, an established musical theater and activities camp for children 7-18, is looking for one more Camp Counselor (age 18+) to reside with our "Boys" Division (June 15 – August 4, 2026). Strong applicants should have previous experience working with kids and the ability to teach or assist in a variety of theater, production or elective areas.
Counselors must be able to work & reside on campus at Carthage College in Kenosha, WI for the duration of our camp season, June 15 – August 4, 2026. Stipend starts at $1400 for those just out of high school, $1500 for those with one year of college. Full room & board provided (dorm room and 3 meals a day, valued an additional ~$600/week).
REQUIREMENTS:
- Camp Counselors must be 18+ (out of high school!)
- Excellent with kids of all ages
- Ability to instruct activity classes in variety of areas
- High energy + flexible in a fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership + team-building skills
- Positive attitude, common sense, and sound judgement
- Sincere desire to be a role model for children
SKILL & INTEREST AREAS:
- Technical Theater – Scenic/Other (Set Building/Lights/Sound)
- Technical Theater - Costuming (construction, alterations, etc.)
- Arts + Crafts / Fine Arts
- Sports & Fitness (Soccer, Basketball, Volleyball, etc.)
- Performing Arts (Singing, Acting, Dancing)
- Video / Photo
- General Games and Activities
OTHER DETAILS:
- Assistant Counselors (18+, just graduated high shool) - $1400+ stipend (based on experience)
- Counselors (18+, at least one year out of high school) - $1500+ (More with experience or special certifications)
- All receive full room & board at Carthage College (single or double dorm room and 3 meals a day, valued additional $600/week)
- Travel Stipend available for those coming from outside Illinois/Wisconsin
- Counselors have four (4) full days off plus rotating late evenings
- Seven-week commitment (including orientation)
