Duties
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process retail sales transactions accurately and quickly
- Handle cash, credit card, and mobile payments with precision and integrity
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and assisting with product information or demos
- Upsell products and promote special offers to enhance customer satisfaction and store sales
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented
- Manage stock levels by assisting with inventory counts and restocking as needed
- Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when interacting with customers over the phone or via online inquiries
- Support supervising team members during busy periods and contribute to a positive team environment
Qualifications
- Previous retail sales or cashiering experience preferred, especially in grocery stores or similar environments
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities are a plus
- Ability to perform basic math quickly and accurately for retail math calculations
- Experience in merchandising, stocking, and product demos is advantageous
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Supervising experience is beneficial but not required; leadership qualities are valued
- Knowledge of grocery store operations or retail sales transactions is a plus
