Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Tow Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge and excellent customer service skills, ensuring a safe and efficient towing operations. This role requires a commitment to providing exceptional service while handling various towing situations, from roadside assistance to vehicle recovery.
Responsibilities
- 1. Vehicle Recovery and Towing
- Operate a tow truck to tow or transport disabled, damaged, or illegally parked vehicles.
2. Customer Service
- Communicate professionally with stranded motorists, law enforcement officers, and business owners.
- Provide information and assistance to customers in stressful or emergency situations.
- Collect payment and issue receipts when required.
3. Safety and Compliance
- Follow all traffic laws and towing regulations.
- Inspect the tow truck before and after each shift to ensure it's in safe working condition.
- Adhere to company policies and safety standards during all towing operations.
4. Documentation and Reporting
- Complete service reports, towing logs, and required paperwork accurately.
- Document vehicle condition before and after towing using photos or reports.
- Report any incidents, damages, or mechanical issues promptly.
5. Maintenance and Cleanliness
- Keep the tow truck clean, fueled, and properly maintained.
- Perform minor repairs and routine inspections (e.g., brakes, lights, tires).
- Notify management of any major repairs and services needed.
6. Other Duties
- Assist with vehicle impoundment procedures and storage lot organization.
- Work variable hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- May perform lockouts, jump starts, tire changes, and fuel deliveries as part of roadside assistance services.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license.
- Valid DCJS card.
- Valid DOT medical card.
- Clean driving record.
- Physical ability to lift up to 20 pounds and operate towing equipment.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with traffic laws.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in towing or roadside assistance.
- Certifications (e.g., WreckMaster or TRAA).

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
