Position Summary: The Receiving Coordinator is responsible for accurately checking in, inspecting, and processing all incoming shipments. This role ensures pallets are scanned, verified, and processed in accordance with company standards, including compliance with the Cone Policy. The Receiving Coordinator plays a critical role in maintaining inbound accuracy, reducing damages, and supporting the overall efficiency of warehouse operations.
Primary Responsibilities:
Inbound & Accuracy
- Accurately check in and double-verify pallets and product information using scanning systems and Cone Policy.
- Receive and inspect deliveries for accuracy, damages, and quality, promptly reporting and documenting issues.
- Verify shipments against purchase orders and packing lists, ensuring all loads are received and processed by end of day.
- Record and update WMS/inventory systems with received goods.
Quality & Error Management
- Conduct damage assessments as part of daily receiving duties and ensure corrective actions are taken.
- Track and minimize receiving errors while maintaining accuracy and accountability.
- Place cones consistently as part of inbound verification and safety procedures.
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with Dock Coordinator, Inventory, Procurement, and Shipping teams to resolve discrepancies.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, carriers, and internal teams to maintain smooth inbound operations.
- Provide timely updates to supervisors and managers on inbound progress and challenges.
Safety & Process Compliance
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with company safety standards.
- Follow all established inbound procedures, including scanning, labeling, and cone placement.
- Support continuous improvement efforts aimed at increasing efficiency and reducing errors.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy under time pressure.
- Collaborative approach with ability to communicate effectively in English (bilingual is a plus).
- Strong understanding of customer service impact from delays, errors, or damages.
- Computer and email proficiency; ability to learn WMS and scheduling software.
- Basic math skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in all climates and temperatures when sealing/breaking trailer seals.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, and use tools such as bolt cutters/wire cutters.
- Ability to work in warehouse conditions with temperature swings, noise, dust, and heavy forklift/truck/pedestrian traffic.
Pay: $19.00 per hour
