Position Summary
We are currently looking for a 1st shift Punch Press Set-Up Operator A for our New Hope, MN location.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Complex setups with little or no defects.

Ability to manage multiple machines including automatic machines.

Knowledge of bend allowances.
-
Complex setups with little supervision.
-
Inspects work pieces for conformance to specifications and adjusts machine to correct errors.

Knowledge of using the proper punch and die clearances according to material type and thickness.
-
Cleans lubricates, and has the ability to do maintenance on machines.

Ability to manage secondary operations.
-
Assembles, installs, and aligns dies in press according to specifications.

Positions workpiece against fixtures or stop on machine bed or on die.

Starts press and observes operation to detect misalignment or malfunction.

Ability to operate a single stage Punch Press.

Ability to convert fractions to decimals and decimals to fractions.
Qualifications
-
High School Diploma or equivalent
-
2-5 years of varied manufacturing experience preferred

Excellent people skills, with an ability to partner with a dynamic leadership team

Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a commitment to the mission

Flexible and able to multi-task; can work with an ambiguous, fast-moving environment, while also driving toward clarity and solutions; demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities and guiding investment in people and systems
