Back of House Team Member (Line Cook / Prep Cook / Dishwasher)

Position Summary
Iki Toro is seeking a dependable, hardworking Back of House Team Member to support all kitchen operations. This position combines line cooking, food preparation, and dishwashing responsibilities. The ideal candidate is team-oriented, efficient, and comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food quality.
Key ResponsibilitiesLine Cook Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to Iki Toro recipes and presentation standards
- Set up and stock stations before service
- Ensure timely execution of orders during service
- Maintain quality, consistency, and portion control
Prep Cook Duties
- Wash, cut, portion, and prepare ingredients
- Prepare sauces, dressings, and other menu components
- Label and store food properly following FIFO procedures
- Receive and organize deliveries
Dishwasher & Sanitation Duties
- Wash dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans
- Operate dishwashing equipment safely
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, prep areas, and floors
- Take out trash and recycling
- Follow all health and sanitation guidelines
Qualifications
- 1+ year kitchen experience preferred
- Ability to multitask and switch between stations as needed
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Food Handler Certification (or ability to obtain)
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Lift up to 50 lbs
- Work in hot, wet, and fast-paced kitchen environment
