Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Newborn Nanny to provide exceptional care for a newborn baby girl starting September 21. The shift will be Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 11 AM until 5 PM. This vital role involves nurturing, supervising, and supporting the physical and emotional well-being of newborns while ensuring a safe, clean, and stimulating environment. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, patience, and expertise in infant care to help families thrive during this precious stage of life. Duties
- Provide attentive, personalized care for newborns, including feeding, diapering, bathing, and soothing
- Monitor infant development milestones and communicate progress with parents or guardians
- Prepare nutritious meals and bottles tailored to the baby's dietary needs
- Maintain a clean and organized nursery environment through residential housekeeping and cleaning tasks
- Assist with transportation needs related to appointments or outings for the infant
- Support parents with light caregiving duties such as laundry for baby clothes and organizing supplies
- Implement safety protocols including first aid and CPR procedures in case of emergencies
- Engage in age-appropriate activities that promote early learning, development, and socialization
- Collaborate with families to create consistent routines that foster stability and comfort for the newborn
Skills
- Extensive experience working with infants, including newborn care and toddler care
- Proven nannying or private home childcare experience with multiple children preferred
- Strong knowledge of childcare best practices, including feeding schedules, sleep routines, and developmental activities
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional training in infant care highly desirable
- Ability to assist with meal preparation suitable for infants and toddlers
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with parents and healthcare providers
- Personal transportation assistance capabilities for errands or appointments as needed
- Knowledge of daycare practices, babysitting, teaching techniques, and residential housekeeping
