Role Summary
We are looking for a creative mind to lead the community and social media voice of the Asics Newbury
Street Store, powered by Marathon Sports.
You will be the primary social storyteller for our brand, responsible for capturing the energy of the Asics
New England running scene and the technical excellence of Asics products. This is a "boots on the
ground" role, you’ll be at the finish lines, the 6:00 AM track workouts, and the store floors, creating high-
frequency, high-impact content that converts. You will also be engaging in the community, putting on
events, hosting training runs, driving the community into the store.
Key Responsibilities
- Multimedia Production: End-to-end creation of short-form video (Reels, TikTok) and high-quality photography. You aren't just "using an iPhone"; you understand lighting, pacing, and trend-native editing.
- Brand Storytelling: Moving beyond "product shots" to tell the human stories of our runners, employees, Asics, and community partners (MR).
- Foster engagement by creating and promoting community events and activities.
- Develop and implement strategies to grow community membership and participation.
- Collaborate with local organizations to enhance community resources and support.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive atmosphere by enforcing community guidelines.
The "Must-Haves" (Qualifications)
- The Portfolio: A visible, successful track record of building an audience (either for a personal brand or a previous company).
- Technical Stack: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Lightroom) or advanced mobile editing tools (CapCut, etc.).
- Running Fluency: You don't have to be a sub-3:00 marathoner, but you must understand the gear, the culture, and why people show up to run in a nor'easter.
- Works on the sales floor as a key part of the role, building relationships with customers, delivering exceptional service, and gaining firsthand insight into the needs of our running community.
- Independence: The ability to see a story, grab a camera, and execute without a five-person crew.
