Your dedication will help shape confident, joyful learners ready to explore the world around them. This will be a small cohort of 4-5 children.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate Montessori curriculum tailored to preschoolers’ developmental stages, emphasizing literacy education, math, and practical life skills
- Create a nurturing environment that encourages independence, exploration, and respect for each child's unique learning style
- Manage daily routines, including behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions and emotional regulation
- Conduct assessments of children’s progress using standardized testing methods and document their developmental milestones accurately
- Collaborate with parents and guardians through regular communication about their child's growth, behavior, and educational needs
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies at all times
Skills
- Montessori experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings, demonstrating strong classroom management skills
- Proficiency in curriculum development with a focus on Montessori methods and childhood development instruction
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and early childhood education best practices
- Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical education activities, and social-emotional learning
- Experience working with children requiring special education or early intervention support is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and families
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and child welfare regulations to ensure safety and compliance in the classroom
- Bilingual (English and Spanish)
Pay: $25.00 per hour
