Genetic Counseling Assistant
The Genetic Counseling Assistant supports the genetic counseling team with the daily tasks involved in counseling patients and families about genetic diseases, genetic testing procedures, and test results. This role works closely with genetic counselors and other clinicians to help collect, organize, and communicate information discussed with patients.
This position will support 2–3 Genetic Counselors and is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in pursuing a future career as a Genetic Counselor. We are seeking candidates with a strong interest in genetics, patient care, and healthcare who are looking to gain valuable hands-on experience in a clinical genetics setting. This role provides meaningful exposure to the field and serves as an excellent steppingstone toward graduate training in Genetic Counseling.

What We're Looking For:
- Education: 4 Year / bachelor's degree, Required. Bachelor's degree in biology, genetics, or related field, Required.

Additional Skills Required: Possess excellent communication skills to work with the genetic counseling team in the coordination of patient care and day-to-day flow of clinic. Manage various tracking databases associated with affiliated clinics. Possess skills to accept responsibility and make decisions. Promote and maintain compatible working relationships among personnel in the section. Communicate well with other health care professionals, patients and families. Effective communication skills listening, writing, talking, and
reading. Ability to maintain patience and confidentiality. Ability to work efficiently and accurately. Ability to organize and plan work.
