Responsibilities
- Lead daily on-site construction activities, supervising crews and subcontractors to ensure work progresses according to schedule and specifications.
- Review and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and construction schedules to coordinate project phases effectively.
- Manage project schedules using construction management software such as Primavera P6 or ProCore, ensuring timely completion of milestones.
- Enforce federal and local construction safety regulations, including OSHA standards, conducting regular safety audits and training sessions.
- Oversee quality control processes by inspecting work for compliance with plans, specifications, and building codes.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and team members to resolve issues promptly and maintain project momentum.
- Supervise the review of construction drawings and technical documents to ensure clarity and accuracy before work begins.
- Monitor project budgets and costs to prevent overruns while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
- Oversee crew management including scheduling, supervising, and evaluating team performance on-site.
- Ensure all construction activities adhere to safety protocols related to pipeline projects or other specialized infrastructure work.
Experience
- Proven experience in heavy commercial or infrastructure construction management with a strong background in supervising teams on active sites.
- Be able to read plans and drawings.
- Extensive knowledge of construction regulations, safety standards (including OSHA), and quality assurance practices.
- Proficiency in construction scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 or Primavera P3; experience with Bluebeam for document review is a plus.
- Familiarity with contract management, project budgeting, and cost control techniques using HeavyBid or similar software.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret technical drawings accurately and coordinate complex project schedules effectively.
- Prior experience managing pipeline or federal construction projects is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple teams simultaneously while maintaining clear communication channels.
