Job Summary
***EXPERIENCED DUMP TRUCK DRIVER ONLY***
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Dump Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating various types of trucks, including dump trucks, and will be responsible for transporting materials to and from job sites safely and efficiently. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to work independently while adhering to all traffic regulations.
Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks and other heavy vehicles for the transportation of materials.
- Load and unload materials as needed, ensuring proper handling and securing of loads.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes, and deliveries.
- Follow designated routes while adhering to traffic laws and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site managers regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered on the road.
- Assist in loading/unloading freight using forklifts or other equipment as necessary.
- Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the truck to uphold company standards.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Experience operating dump trucks, roll-off trucks, flatbeds, tankers, or refrigerated trailers is preferred.
- Proficiency in manual transmission driving is a plus.
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform route driving efficiently while managing time effectively.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations related to truck driving and freight transportation.
- Preferably experienced in asphalt and millings
