Contract: 13 weeks with possible extension
Shift Details
- Shift: 8-Hour Evening Shift (40 hours/week)
- Hours: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
- Floating: Yes (Main OR specialties and Urology Center only; no floating to other hospitals)
Call & Weekend Requirements
- On-Call: 2:30 PM – 7:00 AM; 5–8 call shifts within an 8-week schedule (subject to staffing needs)
- Response Time: 30 minutes
- Weekend Rotation: 1–2 Saturdays and/or Sundays every 8 weeks (subject to staffing)
- Holiday Requirement: During holiday weeks, candidates may work four 10-hour shifts or take the holiday unpaid (subject to approval)

Job Description
Seeking an experienced Surgical Assistant with a strong background in Robotics (Da Vinci Xi), Neuro, General Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, and Vascular Surgery.
The Surgical Assistant functions as the First or Second Assistant to the surgeon during both complex and routine surgical procedures. The role may also require performing Surgical Technologist duties when necessary, although not simultaneously while serving as First Assist.
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years of Surgical Assistant experience
- Strong experience with Da Vinci Xi Robotics is required
- Experience in:
- Neuro
- ENT
- Orthopedics
- General Surgery
- Vascular Surgery
- Laparoscopic Surgery
- General Oncology
- Genitourinary (GU)
- Gynecology (GYN)
- Breast/Plastic Surgery
Important: Candidates should be able to discuss in detail their experience with Vascular, Robotic, and ENT procedures.
