Infant Caregiver

Job Details

Starting Pay: $14/per hour with opportunities for higher pay based on experience and education.

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm

Holidays: 11 Paid Holidays

Ginghamsburg Christian Preschool and Childcare center is looking for teacher candidates in the following areas:

Infants

Accountable To:

Education & Experience:

Required: High School Diploma
1-2 years of experience working with children.
Preferred: Child Development Associates Certification (CDA) OR Associate’s Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, with significant experience working with children

Requirements:

Have the ability to plan and implement methods of establishing a positive partnership with the child’s parents.
Have the ability to evaluate on an on-going basis the social/emotional, cognitive, physical and spiritual developmental stages of an individual child.
Demonstrate the ability to create and effectively implement age appropriate lessons.
Understand a preschooler’s social/emotional, cognitive, physical and spiritual developmental needs.
In-service trainings
First Aid and CPR
Communicable Disease and Child Abuse Classes
10 hours of state required classes each year of employment totaling 20 hours Biannually.
10 hours of Step Up to Quality classes each year of employment
This position requires a high level of physical labor including but not limited to:
Employee MUST have good mobility,
Employee MUST be able to lift and hold up to 50 lbs,
Employee should be able to sit on the floor with children for prolonged periods of time,
Employee should be able to bend and reach from floor to waist several times throughout the day,
Employee should be able to crawl around on the floor and interact with the children in their space.
