Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Leader to oversee daily operations within our warehouse environment. The Shift Leader will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient workflow, maintaining safety standards, and leading a team of associates. This position requires strong mechanical knowledge and experience in warehouse management to facilitate effective materials handling and inventory control.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of warehouse staff to ensure efficient operations.
- Implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.
- Oversee inventory management and control, ensuring accurate stock levels are maintained.
- Utilize the Warehouse Management System (WMS) for tracking inventory and managing orders.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies within the warehouse.
- Train new employees on warehouse procedures, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment as needed.
- Conduct regular inspections of the facility to maintain cleanliness and organization.
Experience
- Proven experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is essential.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to warehouse operations and equipment maintenance.
- Familiarity with materials handling techniques and inventory control processes.
- Previous experience as a warehouse supervisor or in a leadership role is preferred.
- Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for inventory tracking.
- Demonstrated ability to implement process improvements effectively.
- MUST HAVE FORKLIFT EXPERIENCE
