About Sweet Desires Dessert Lounge
Sweet Desires Dessert Lounge offers an intimate upscale dining experience featuring chef inspired cuisine, handcrafted desserts, premium wines, signature cocktails, and live entertainment in an elegant atmosphere.
In addition to nightly dinner service, we host upscale private events, weddings, corporate gatherings, catering, and exclusive dining experiences throughout the year.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead all culinary operations for dinner service and special events.
- Prepare and execute our full savory menu with exceptional consistency and attention to detail.
- Execute and beautifully plate all desserts according to Sweet Desires presentation standards.
- Maintain the highest standards of food quality, flavor, consistency, and presentation.
- Lead kitchen operations while maintaining a calm, organized, and efficient work environment.
- Prepare and execute upscale catered events, weddings, corporate functions, and private dining experiences.
- Assist with menu development, seasonal features, and recipe refinement while maintaining the Sweet Desires culinary identity.
- Manage inventory, purchasing, food cost controls, and kitchen organization.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and inspire kitchen staff while maintaining a culture of professionalism, teamwork, and excellence.
- Work directly with ownership to continually elevate the culinary experience and maintain the high standards our guests expect.
Qualifications
- Minimum five years of Executive Chef, Sous Chef, or Fine Dining leadership experience.
- Strong background in upscale restaurants, boutique hotels, luxury catering, country clubs, or chef driven kitchens.
- Experience preparing seafood, premium meats, fresh vegetables, soups, sauces, and elevated comfort cuisine.
- Exceptional knife skills and mastery of classic culinary techniques.
- Ability to consistently produce restaurant quality plating with meticulous attention to detail.
- Experience managing catered events, banquets, and private dining experiences.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to perform at a high level in a fast paced environment while maintaining composure and professionalism.
- ServSafe Certification preferred.
