Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our retail team. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, managing transactions accurately, and supporting store operations. Duties
- Operate POS systems efficiently to process sales and returns
- Handle cash, credit, and other payment methods with accuracy and integrity
- Assist customers with product questions, store navigation, and checkout procedures
- Conduct product demos to promote new or featured items
- Upsell products and suggest complementary items to enhance sales
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves and organizing displays
- Perform inventory checks and assist with stock replenishment
- Ensure the checkout area is clean, organized, and welcoming
- Provide excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone
- Support supervising staff with training new team members when needed
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Previous supervising experience is a plus
- Ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions and inventory counts
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on communication and professionalism
- Experience with product demos, upselling, and merchandising techniques
- Bilingual abilities to serve a diverse customer base effectively
- Basic math skills for cash register operations and stock management
- Knowledge of grocery store operations or retail sales environment preferred
- Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills for engaging with customers both in person and over the phone
Pay: From $9.00 per hour
