Senior Accountant
This position is based in Fremont, California at our headquarters.
Hurricane Electric, a global Internet backbone, seeks a Senior Accountant with 5 years experience as Accounting Manager, Controller, CFO, or CPA.
This position reports to the Controller.
Duties and responsibilities (specific duties depend on experience):
- Assist with accounting audits for main company and subsidiaries.
- Assist with income tax filings for main company and subsidiaries.
- Prepare and file property tax (multiple locations)
- Prepare and file sales tax (multiple states)
- Maintain fixed asset schedule and prepare fixed asset journal entries.
- Assist accounts receivable
- Assist accounts payable
- Calculate sales commission and bonuses
- Assist with ADP payroll processing
- Assist with 401k audit
- Assist with workers comp audit
Position Requirements:
- 5 years experience as Accounting Manager, Controller, CFO, or CPA required
- 5+ years corporate accounting experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Proficient with QuickBooks
- Proficient with Excel
- Must possess attention to detail
- Must be ready to learn telecom and data center business
- Must have effective interpersonal skills to work cooperatively and proactively
- Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism
- Must have a clean background and be drug free
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
