Bouzy is seeking an hourly Assistant Manager to help lead service, support the team on the floor, and build real management experience in a hands-on restaurant environment. With an expected schedule of approximately 20-25 hours per week, this role is a strong fit for someone who wants meaningful operational responsibility, stronger hourly pay, and a practical step into management without taking on a full-time management schedule.

- Support daily FOH and BOH shift operations

- Provide leadership, direction, and support to hourly team members during shifts
- Maintain strong awareness of service flow, staffing needs, and guest experience throughout the shift
- Help oversee service standards and daily operational procedures
- Ensure opening and closing duties are completed thoroughly and correctly
- Professionally handle guest inquiries, complaints, compliments, and service recovery
- Support a consistently strong guest experience during active service
- Lead by example on the floor through visible, service-focused management
- Assist with employee onboarding, training, and ongoing development
- Provide constructive, timely feedback to team members
- Monitor staff performance, urgency, side work completion, and adherence to standards
- Support daily teaching and coaching to improve consistency and accountability
- Communicate development needs and coaching opportunities to the General Manager and relevant leadership
- Recommend wine and beverages to guests
- Support proper beverage service standards at tables and at the bar
- Step into operational support roles as needed, including expediting, hosting, food running, and general service support
- Partner with BOH leadership to support communication, readiness, and accountability during service
- Maintain a safe, sanitary, organized work environment
- Support location cleanliness, organization, and readiness at all times
- Assist with cash handling, check closure, and end-of-shift procedures as assigned
- Attend management meetings as requested
- Ensure CHG and Bouzy standards are upheld
Required
- Prior server or bartender experience
- Some supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of restaurant service and hospitality standards
- Strong knowledge of food, culinary terms, and restaurant operations
- Some wine knowledge or a strong interest in wine
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Professional guest recovery and service judgment
- Ability to stay organized and maintain urgency in a guest-facing environment
- Coachable, dependable, and able to lead by example
