Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure all medical supplies and equipment are sterile and ready for use.
- Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations, including taking vital signs and recording medical histories.
- Perform blood sampling, collect specimens, and handle manual handling tasks with precision and care.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR management) accurately by documenting patient information, medical histories, and treatment plans.
- Support health education initiatives by providing patients with information on post-procedure care, medication instructions, and wellness tips.
- Report patient conditions clearly to physicians and document all clinical activities thoroughly in medical records.
- Conduct basic life support (BLS) and CPR when necessary, ensuring readiness for emergency situations.
- Facilitate patient flow within the clinic by communicating effectively with clients and coordinating appointments efficiently.
- Assist in diagnostic radiology procedures or surgical settings such as plastic surgery or other outpatient surgeries as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols related to blood sampling, manual handling, and infection control standards.
Requirements
- Certified Medical Assistant credential from an accredited program is required.
- Proven experience in critical care or acute care environments is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, nursing practices, and medical documentation standards.
- Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems for managing electronic health records efficiently, eClinicalWorks is the EMR used at this location.
- Demonstrated ability to perform blood sampling accurately and report patient conditions effectively.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is essential.
- Excellent client communication skills with a focus on compassionate patient service delivery.
- Ability to handle manual tasks safely while maintaining attention to detail during procedures like blood draws or specimen collection.
