Stockroom Controller
Department: Information Technology | FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt | Employment Type: Full-Time
Job Summary:
The Stockroom Controller is responsible for managing, organizing, and controlling stockroom inventory to ensure accurate stock levels, timely availability of materials, and smooth daily operations. This role plays a key part in maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting operational efficiency, and minimizing stock discrepancies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials, ensuring accuracy against purchase orders and delivery notes
2. Store materials in an organized and safe manner as per company standards
3. Issue stock to internal teams as per requirements and maintain proper documentation
4. Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimal stock availability
5. Conduct regular stock counts and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy
6. Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies or variances
7. Update inventory records in systems (ERP, SAP, Oracle, or internal tools)
8. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company policies within the stockroom
9. Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, and operations teams for material planning
10. Prepare inventory reports and provide updates to management as required
11. Support audits by providing accurate inventory records and documentation
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant work experience
