The CDL-A Driver is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of products to retail stores, grocery locations, and customers along assigned routes. This role involves operating commercial vehicles, ensuring accurate deliveries, and maintaining strong communication with route leaders, store managers, and the operations team.
Drivers play a key role in ensuring that products arrive on time, in good condition, and according to company safety and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a Class A commercial vehicle safely and in compliance with DOT regulations
- Complete scheduled delivery routes to multiple store locations
- Work alongside a Route Leader to unload products using pallet jacks and lift gates
- Ensure accurate delivery of products and documentation at each stop
- Maintain delivery logs, inspection reports, and required paperwork
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle
- Follow all safety and company transportation procedures
- Communicate any delivery issues, delays, or route concerns to dispatch or operations
- Maintain professional communication with store managers and customers
Requirements
- Valid CDL Class A license with three years experience
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Ability to pass DOT drug screening and background check
- Experience operating commercial trucks preferred
- Ability to lift and move products when assisting with deliveries
- Comfortable working early morning schedules and route-based work
- Strong reliability and punctuality
