Duties
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests, understanding their needs, and offering tailored product recommendations.
- Educate customers on different cannabis strains, consumption methods, and product effects to ensure informed choices.
- Conduct product demos to showcase new or featured items, highlighting their benefits and usage tips.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing.
- Maintain an organized sales floor through merchandising, stocking shelves, and ensuring product displays are attractive and compliant with regulations.
- Assist with inventory management by tracking stock levels, conducting regular stock checks, and restocking shelves efficiently.
- Uphold all safety protocols and adhere to state and local regulations regarding cannabis sales and age restrictions.
- Support team members with supervising experience in managing daily operations during shifts when needed.
- Use excellent phone etiquette when handling inquiries or reservations over the phone.
- Promote upselling opportunities by suggesting complementary products to enhance customer satisfaction.
Skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect confidently with diverse customers in a friendly manner.
- Experience with retail sales environments, especially grocery stores or similar retail settings involving customer interaction.
- Proficiency in POS systems, cash handling, and basic retail math to ensure accurate transactions.
- Knowledge of merchandising techniques to create appealing product displays that attract attention.
- Ability to conduct product demos confidently while explaining features clearly and engagingly.
- Bilingual skills are a plus to better serve a diverse clientele.
- Supervising experience is beneficial for supporting team leadership during shifts.
- Excellent phone etiquette for professional communication over the phone or via messaging platforms.
- Familiarity with stock management procedures including stocking shelves and inventory checks.
