The Seasonal Prep Cook plays an important role in supporting both the Smashin Crab and Daily Docket kitchens by preparing ingredients and maintaining an organized, sanitary prep environment. This role focuses on executing recipe-based food preparation to ensure our kitchens are fully stocked and ready for service each day.
This position is a temporary role lasting approximately four months, with the potential for future opportunities based on business needs and performance.
Working hours MONDAY - FRIDAY 7AM-5PM
Prepare ingredients according to established recipes and prep procedures for both Smashin Crab and Daily Docket menu items
Chop, portion, slice, marinate, and package ingredients for kitchen use
Prepare sauces, bases, and other components used in daily kitchen production
Label, date, and properly store all prepared items following FIFO standards
Maintain clean and organized prep stations and storage areas
Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and prep equipment as needed
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and temperature control guidelines
Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing deliveries when needed
Communicate low inventory levels or prep shortages to kitchen leadership
Maintain awareness of Smashin Crab menu items and live seafood offerings
Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
Team-oriented mindset and willingness to assist where needed
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
Previous kitchen or food prep experience preferred but not required
