We are looking for a compassionate, energetic, and creative Activities Coordinator to help enrich the lives of our senior residents. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys building relationships, creating meaningful experiences, and bringing joy to others through engaging activities.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and lead daily activities and special events for residents.
- Encourage resident participation and foster meaningful social engagement.
- Build positive relationships with residents and create a welcoming, inclusive environment.
- Develop activities that support physical, cognitive, emotional, and social well-being.
- Decorate and prepare activity spaces as needed.
- Coordinate holiday celebrations, entertainers, and community events when appropriate.
- Maintain activity calendars and ensure activities are communicated to residents and staff.
- Work closely with the care team to provide individualized enrichment opportunities for residents.
Qualifications
- Friendly, compassionate, and dependable with a positive attitude.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organized, creative, and able to work independently.
- Experience coordinating activities is preferred but not required.
- Previous activity coordination experience may qualify for higher starting pay.
- Experience working with seniors or in healthcare is a plus but not required.
