We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and record medical histories.
- Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures as needed.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Ensure infection control protocols are followed to maintain a safe environment for both patients and staff.
- Utilize Dentrix software for managing patient records and scheduling appointments.
- Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and procedures.
Qualifications
- Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and dental terminology.
- Experience with patient assessment techniques and infection control measures.
- Proficiency in using Dentrix or similar dental practice management software is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while providing exceptional patient care.
