FACILITY OVERVIEW:
The UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex is a first-of-its-kind, hockey specific training facility located just north of Pittsburgh in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania. A joint venture between the Pittsburgh Penguins and their world-renowned sports medicine partner, UPMC (formerly University of Pittsburgh Medical Center), the $70 million complex will be the first medical facility in the country to focus specifically on hockey-related training, testing, rehabilitation and injury prevention.
The new practice home for the NHL Penguins will include two NHL-sized ice rinks, professional locker rooms, an NHL-quality weight room and fourteen locker rooms. In addition, the facility includes 1,500 square feet of hockey skills training space that features a Rapidshot System, three Rapidhands training stations and a sixty-six foot resistance skating lane. The facility will also be the home ice for the Pittsburgh Penguins Elite Tier I youth program.
The medical facility will feature 50,000 square feet of clinical space for training, testing and therapy from some of the world’s leading doctors and specialists. It will offer expert care in orthopaedics, concussion management, physical and occupational therapy, imaging and sports-performance training, making it the premier facility in North America for elite hockey training.

TITLE: Facility Operations – Ice Resurfacer Driver

SUMMARY:
The UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex is looking for qualified Ice Resurfacer Drivers. Drivers are responsible for ice maintenance, operations support and maintenance duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform ice resurfacing duties based on daily schedule while adhering to safe operating techniques as specified by STAR.
- Maintain ice resurfacer after each resurface.
- Maintain ice surface, patch holes, flood, and edge perimeter of ice surface.
- Provide building maintenance, replace arena glass, clean restrooms, and empty trash.
- Maintain a clean safe environment for employees and customers.
- Adhere to industry safe practices for IR blade changes.
- Adhere to industry safe practices for fuel handling.
- Accurately record data including ice maintenance, air quality and refrigeration readings.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Previous ice resurfacing experience
- 1-3 years ice arena operations experience
- Valid Pennsylvania drivers license
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Outstanding customer skills
- Must be able to work nights and weekends.
This position requires the ability to stand, sit, walk, and bend for extended periods and the ability to lift 75 pounds occasionally.
