Duties
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders with enthusiasm, ensuring accuracy and efficiency using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and light food items while maintaining high standards of food safety and food handling procedures.
- Operate cash registers, process payments accurately through POS systems, handle cash and credit card transactions, and give correct change using basic math skills.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food prep stations, counters, and seating areas in accordance with food safety regulations.
- Manage multiple tasks simultaneously by practicing effective time management to serve customers promptly during busy periods.
- Assist with inventory management by restocking supplies, monitoring product freshness, and communicating stock needs to team members.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions or concerns promptly, ensuring a positive experience that encourages repeat visits.
Experience
- Previous barista experience or coffee industry background is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude and excellent communication abilities.
- Ability to handle cash accurately, perform retail math confidently, and manage cash handling responsibilities effectively.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, food preparation techniques, and proper food handling procedures in a café or retail environment.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic math skills for cashiering transactions and inventory management are essential for success in this role. Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
