Position Summary - Certification as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)
The Admixture Pharmacy Technician plays a key role in supporting medication preparation, handling, and distribution within our infusion center. This position is responsible for preparing medications, maintaining inventory, and supporting the dispensing of oral oncolytics.
This role requires precision, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a team-based healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and handle medications for infusion patients, including both hazardous and non-hazardous drugs
Verify medication orders for accuracy and completeness
Assist with the dispensing of oral oncolytics, including processing prescriptions and coordinating with clinical staff
Maintain a clean and organized medication preparation environment
Properly handle and dispose of materials in accordance with safety standards
Assist with inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and stocking medications
Perform routine inventory counts and maintain accurate records
Ensure adequate medication supply across departments
Collaborate with pharmacists, nurses, and providers to support patient care
Required Qualifications
Pharmacy Technician experience (preferred 1+ year)
Strong understanding of medication handling and preparation processes
Knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology
Proficiency in medication calculations and metric measurements
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented healthcare environment
Strong communication skills
Certification as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in oncology, hematology, or infusion settings
Experience with oral oncolytic medications or specialty pharmacy workflows
