POSITION: Stamper Operator
REPORTS TO: Production Line Supervisor
DUTIES:
- Operates and maintains stamping equipment to ensure cases are properly marked from packing line and repack team
- Markings on the box are scannable and legible
- Knows Customer, State, and Federal requirements for marking the boxes
- Familiarized with packing instructions
- Ensures accurate recording and reporting of grower pack outs by variety, grade, size and packaging.
- Ensures weighing equipment is checked daily, calibrated, and documented.
- Ensures minimum weights are met, informs Packing Supervisor/Floor Boss of any issues
- Oversees equipment and troubleshoots issues. Calls on maintenance for assistance. Able to communicate with service techs.
- Any issues with wrong trays, clips, barcodes, and lids are to be reported to Floor Boss and Floor leads immediately.
- Make changes to products without stopping the line.
- Fixes damaged or mis-marked boxes throughout day. Adjusts grower counts as necessary
- Daily reports are to be completed at end of shift and emailed.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
- Train all new personnel in job station.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for every box to be properly sealed and markings are correct.
- Understands that overall box appearance is of high priority.
- Correct pad being properly placed inside every box. Tape and glue on each corrugated box.
- Print is legible and accurate. Printed barcodes are able to scan.
- Weight scales are properly functioning and accurate. DO NOT TURN OFF SCALE.
- Conducts and documents inspections/recordkeeping as required by regulation and/or customer specified audit schemes.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Understands, follows and complies with company safety, food safety and sanitation policies.
- Other duties as assigned. Most common are the following:
o Clip/Label maker
o Repack
PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Repetitious and/or prolonged lifting, walking, standing, sitting, and carrying.
Pay: $18.08 - $19.67 per hour
