Summary
The primary function of the Preventative Maintenance Engineer is to perform preventative maintenance and repairs for: guestrooms, public spaces, meeting spaces, the back of the house, parking garage and exterior of the building.

Essential Duties andResponsibilities
- Perform basic carpentry work, furniture repairs.
- Ensure that maintenance ticket requests are completed in atimely fashion.
- Maintain records of completed work orders.
- Knowledge of power tools to use as per SOP.
- Make repairs to HVAC units, filters, coils, motors, thermostats and electrical controls.
- Responsible for maintaining an inventory of materials to perform assignments.
- Repair and or replace: toilets, toilet seats, sinks, tubdrains, shower bodies and all associated plumbing.
- Ability to assess guestrooms in order to determine what, if any, preventative measures need to be taken.
- Maintain a high standard of workmanship throughout allprojects.
- Actively communicate the status of guest rooms with both theFront Desk & Engineering Supervisor.
- Complete daily maintenance checklist.
- Organize and maintain all work areas.
- Answer Radio and respond to guest calls.
- Ensure to follow through on all issues and discrepancies pertaining to Engineering.
- Proficient in basic Building Services Engineering; including, but not limited to:
- Wall vinyl repairs, tile work, grouting, caulking, plaster, painting
- Maintain operation for interior/exterior of facility; including, but not limited to:
- Electrical, refrigeration, plumbing, heating & cooling,structural, ground care
- Attend mandatory meetings & hotel functions.
- Agree to work flexible shifts,including weekends and holidays.
- Comply with all company standards andpolicies, as established in the employee handbook.
- Other duties as required.
