Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to different age groups and skill levels, incorporating innovative learning technology tools.
- Deliver engaging online or in-person lessons covering topics such as algebra, geometry, calculus, trigonometry, statistics, and differential equations.
- Provide personalized tutoring sessions for science, chemistry, microbiology, biochemistry, physiology, and other STEM subjects to enhance student understanding.
- Prepare students for standardized tests and exams through targeted test preparation tutoring strategies.
- Manage classroom dynamics effectively by implementing strong classroom management techniques and adapting teaching methods to accommodate special education needs.
- Assess student progress regularly through assignments and assessments; adjust lesson plans accordingly to ensure continuous improvement.
- Support students’ overall development by fostering a positive attitude towards learning and building confidence in their mathematical abilities.
Requirements
- Proven experience teaching math at various educational levels, including classroom experience with teenagers and children.
- Strong knowledge of core math disciplines such as algebra, geometry, calculus, trigonometry, statistics, discrete math, and differential equations.
- Familiarity with curriculum development and lesson planning tailored to diverse learner needs.
- Proficiency with learning technology platforms and digital tools used for online instruction and interactive learning.
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with students of different ages and backgrounds.
- Ability to manage classroom environments confidently while maintaining student engagement.
- Experience working with students who have special education needs or require additional support is preferred.
- Technical skills including computer literacy and familiarity with data structures or machine learning concepts are advantageous.
- A background in science or engineering disciplines such as chemical engineering, electrical engineering, microbiology, genetics, or physiology is a plus.
